Frosty Morning

All of the Yorkshire Dales are spectacular, and all are different, each possessing its own unique character. This image was taken near my home in Upper Wharfedale. The night had been cold and by dawn a hoar frost had coated the valley with a thick white rime. The night had been so cold, the river itself had started to freeze. Here the Dalesway follows the banks of the river and a stroll along this path is the best antidote for this stressful life. There is always a tranquillity here that is unrivaled. This is the character of Upper Wharfedale.
